Bartender

The Bartender position requires the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while delivering a consistently exceptional guest experience. Bartenders are responsible for preparing and serving beverages accurately and efficiently, providing attentive bar service, and working closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.

Bartenders are expected to develop a strong knowledge of their concept’s beverage and food offerings, including beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, seasonal selections, and menu items. They should confidently guide guests through the beverage program, make thoughtful recommendations, and maintain a welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging bar experience.

 

Above all, Bartenders must be committed to genuine hospitality and creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and timely service to bar guests and the dining room.

  • Prepare cocktails and other beverages accurately, consistently, and according to established recipes and standards.

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, food, specials, and other concept-specific offerings.

  • Make thoughtful food and beverage recommendations based on guest preferences.

  • Accurately take and enter orders and process guest payments.

  • Prepare service-bar beverages efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards.

  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow all responsible alcohol service requirements.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, properly stocked, and guest-ready bar throughout each shift.

  • Complete assigned opening, closing, stocking, prep, and side-work responsibilities.

  • Work closely with Servers, Hosts, Bussers, kitchen staff, and management to maintain efficient service.

  • Follow all food safety, alcohol service, sanitation, cash-handling, and company policies.

  • Support the entire team during high-volume periods and assist outside of the bar when needed.

Expectations

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of company Steps of Service and service standards.

  • Maintain strong knowledge of the concept’s current food and beverage menus.

  • Demonstrate proper cocktail preparation, beverage knowledge, and responsible alcohol service.

  • Deliver warm, professional, and personalized hospitality to every guest.

  • Remain composed, organized, and attentive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers, and management.

  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, a positive attitude, and a team-first approach.

  • Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene consistent with company standards.

  • Complete required menu, beverage, and service training before independently serving guests.

  • Maintain any required alcohol service permits and certifications.

  • Consistently represent the hospitality standards and values of Taxman Hospitality Group.

Schedule & Locations

Bartender positions are available across Taxman Hospitality Group concepts and locations. This is a part-time position with hours that vary based on location and business needs. Bartenders should have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Scheduling and weekly hours will vary by concept, season, and business volume.
